The Ho Municipal National Service Scheme (NSS) has organized an in-service orientation for national service personnel within the municipality.
The event which was attended by over 700 national service personnel serving in various user agencies in the Ho Municipality is aimed at sensitizing the personnel on the do’s and don’ts of national service and create a platform for active engagement.

Mr Benjamin Baniba, the NSS Municipal Manager of Ho, welcomed the personnel and took them through the rudiments of national service and provided vital information about the Volta Region and the E-zwich payment system.
Mr Armstrong Esaah, the Corporate Affairs Director of NSS, recounted the many innovative projects the Hon. Mustapha led administration is undertaking to enhance their national service experience. Pertinent among them is the paperless registration which features an online booking system, international service, and certificate delivery initiative.
” In recognition of the aforementioned, the Scheme has been awarded as the 3rd most innovative public sector agency for 2019 at Inspirational Public Sector Leadership Awards (IPSLA) organized by IMANI Ghana” he added.
He also charged them to leverage on the national service to build skills and be worthy ambassadors of the Scheme by being disciplined and exhibiting positive attitude at the post which will ultimately induce user agencies to retain them after service.
He further assured the Ghana Education Service representative at the event, Madam Joan Nyamesesi that the Scheme is poised to augmenting the government’s efforts towards a free basic and secondary education, to this all their request for teachers will be met accordingly
The national service expressed satisfaction since most of the questions bothering them were addressed and now feel empowered to serve.
Among other dignitaries’ present were Gabriel Osei Jnr.-Keta Municipal Manager, and Volta Regional National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) Executives.
