First Phase of Pre-Tertiary Curriculum for KG to Primary 6 Completed – NaCCa
The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) working in collaboration with the Ministry of Education has successfully completed the development of the first phase of the Pre-tertiary curriculum, kindergarten to primary six (KG-P6).
The new curriculum has been handed over to the Ghana Education Service (GES) for implementation.
It has come to our notice that some Publishers are selling textbooks and other supplementary learning materials to schools and the general public, purported to have been approved by NaCCA for the new Standards-Based Curriculum.
ND OTHER SUPPLEMENTARY
MATERIALS We wish to inform all Heads of Schools, Parents and the general public that NaCCA has not yet approved any textbook for the new Curriculum. The approval processes are still ongoing in accordance with previous curriculum reforms.
Publishers and Writers are reminded that all textbooks and other supplementary materials must be assessed and approved by NaCCA before they are sold to schools and the general public, as per the Education Act 2008(Act 778) For further information, please visit www.nacca.gov.gh or call 0302 909 071 from 9am to 5pm weekdays.
