WAEC releases 2019 private BECE results: The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released provisional results of the 2019 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for private candidates.

WAEC in a statement indicated that candidates who sat for the exams did not engage in any form of examination malpractice.

Meanwhile, the Council has posted the results online for candidates who so desire to access.

In all, 2, 573 candidates comprising of 1,602 males and 971 females sat for the papers.

“Release of provisional results for the BECE for private candidates, 2019

WAEC has released provisional results of candidates who sat the BECE for Private Candidates, 2019.

Candidates may purchase the new results checker voucher for BECE (PVT) and access their results online at https://eresults.waecgh.org/

A total of 2,573 candidates made up of 1,602 males and 971 females took the examination at eleven WAEC examination halls throughout the country.  No case of malpractice was recorded.”

The private BECE

The examination is both for certification and selection into Senior High Schools and Technical Institutes in Ghana with its results based on the external examination.

Two categories of prospective candidates are permitted to register for the examination.

It consists of candidates who previously sat for BECE but could not make the required grade(s) and first-timer candidates who must be 16 years and above.

The examination is conducted in the regional capitals of Ghana in February each year.

The entry period is from October to November.
